CBS College Sports To Air Saturday's Doubleheader:  CBS College Sports Network will air both games of Saturday's doubleheader with Fresno State on television nationally.  Game one is scheduled for a 1:06 p.m. first pitch and the second game is slated to start at 5:06 p.m.  Tom Hart will handle the play by play duties on Saturday with Kevin Stocker providing the color analysis.
 Saturday will mark the second consecutive year that a baseball game from Peccole Park will air on national television.  Last season the Wolf Pack defeated San Jose State 12-1 on April 15 in the first ever televised game from Peccole Park which was carried by CSTV.  CSTV is now CBS College Sports. 

First 300 Pack Fan's To Receive Free T-Shirt:  The first 300 Pack fans to enter the Peccole Park gates on Saturday will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of the Nevada Athletics Department.

NEVADA ON RADIO: Nevada baseball will again be carried on ESPN Radio 630AM this season with pregame starting 15 minutes prior to first pitch.  Veteran Wolf Pack announcers Dan Gustin and Don Marchand will call most of the action this season.  Three of the four games with Fresno State this weekend will be on radio.  The second game of Saturday’s doubleheader will not air on radio.

NEVADA HOSTS WAC LEADING FRESNO STATE THIS WEEKEND
 After a weekend on the road the Nevada(22-17, 9-7 WAC) baseball team will host Fresno State(24-16, 13-3 WAC) for a four-game Western Athletic Conference series at Peccole Park starting Friday night at 6:00 p.m.  The first game of Saturday’s doubleheader gets underway at 1:06 p.m. with the second one slated to start at 5:06 p.m.  Sunday’s final game is a 1:00 p.m. first pitch.
 FS currently sits atop the WAC standings with 13-3 mark while the Wolf Pack are four games back leaving them tied with Hawai`i for third place.  The Bulldogs won three of the four games played earlier this season in Fresno, Calif.  FS holds a 25-15 series advantage in WAC play and are 9-9 during that stretch at Peccole Park.

TEAM:  Offensively Nevada struggled in Hawai’i last weekend hitting just .207 and scored 11 total runs in the four-game series...Nevada is second in the WAC with a .311 batting average, tied for second with a .972 field percentage and is sixth with a 5.83 ERA...nationally the team ranks 68th in hitting, 83rd in scoring, 73rd in runs, 84th in hits, 63rd in doubles per game, 47th in doubles, 46th in triples per game, 34th in triples and 183rd in ERA...in WAC play the Pack are third in hitting(.299), fifth in fielding(.968) and ERA(6.49)...playing 6 doubleheaders this season Nevada has swept four vs. CSUMB, vs. La Tech, vs. NMSU, and vs. UVU and split two at Fresno State and at Hawai`i...13 times this season the Pack have scored in double figures winning 12 of those contests, the only loss when scoring double digits was a 17-10 setback to #22 Oregon State...Nevada has made use of the WAC’s new 10-run rule after 7-innings twice defeating La Tech 14-3 and NMSU 11-1 but had it turned on them three times falling 11-1 and 13-3 at Fresno State and 13-3 at Hawai`i...Nevada went 11-3 during a season-high 14-game homestand that ended with a 4-game sweep of La Tech...Nevada has won four series this year taking 2-of-3 from UC Riverside(3/7-9), 3-of-4 from NMSU(4/4-6) and all four from La Tech(3/20-22) and Utah Valley(4/11-13)...Nevada’s 9-4 loss to UNLV(3/25) snapped a season-high 5-game win streak and 8-game win streak vs. the Rebels...The Pack split its two games with the two-time College World Series Champion Oregon State Beavers winning 10-1, losing 17-10 and the third game was cancelled due to weather...Nevada had a season-high 26 hits and 24 runs in game 1 vs. CSUMB...Nevada was picked to finish third in the Preseason WAC Coaches’ Poll behind Fresno State and Louisiana Tech...Head coach Gary Powers is in his 26th season of directing the Wolf Pack baseball program in 2008 and is the longest tenured coach in the history of Nevada athletics.
