HONOLULU, Hawaii The Nevada women’s tennis team won again on Wednesday in Hawaii.

The Wolf Pack took a 4-2 victory over the University of San Diego in a match played at the University of Hawaii. The Wolf Pack will conclude its Hawaiian road trip with a match against Hawaii on Saturday.

Against the Toreroes, Nevada won the doubles point fueled by victories by Maria Mizyuk and Caroline Bailly at No. 1 and Alice Hall and Ly-Huong Ding at No. 2

Mizyuk dominated at the No. 1 spot and the Pack also got wins at Nos. 3 (Hall) and 4 (Florence De Vrye). That was enough to get the win but Caroline Bailly (No. 2) was up a set and tied at 3 in the second when the match was stopped due to rain.

“It feels like all of the tough losses and the hard work earlier this season is starting to pay off,” third-year coach Sylvain Malroux said. “And I think that is good news for the rest of the season. The girls fought hard early in the season and had some close matches and now they are more prepared to face adversity.”
