LUBBOCK, Texas The Nevada women’s tennis team fell at Texas Tech on Saturday, 4-3.
Nevada, ranked No. 68 in the country, won the doubles point but fell in four of the six singles matches in its first dual match of the season.
Sophomore Maria Mizyuk, who is ranked 48th in the country, won a three-set match at No. 1 singles and freshman Lais Ogata, a newcomer to the Wolf Pack, won her first match at the No. 6 spot.
In doubles, Caroline Bailly and Laetitia Tan picked up a win at No. 2 and Florence De Vrye and Alice Hall won at the No. 3 spot.
The Wolf Pack will take on North Texas on Sunday in Lubbock.
