Meet Program
RENO, Nev. The University of Nevada track and field team will compete in the Bronco Invitational Feb. 8 and 9 hosted by Boise State at Jacksons Track.
The meet will open on Friday night with the women’s long jump at 5:30 p.m. and will conclude with the finals of the 60 meter dash. Competition will resume on Saturday with the women’s high jump at 10 a.m. and will conclude with the 4x400 meter relay on Saturday afternoon.
Women’s teams competing include, Boise State, Arizona State, Nevada, Northwest, Cal State - Stanislaus, San Diego State, College of Idaho, San Francisco State, Utah State and Eastern Oregon.
“This will be our second competition this semester and we are excited to see how we have improved from our meet two weeks,” head coach Shantel Twiggs said. “We had an opportunity to get in some training and now it is time to turn it up as we strive to move up in the conference standings.”
Nevada will have athletes competing in the long jump, weight throw, 60 meter hurdles, 60 meter dash, 5000 meter run, distance medley, high jump, shot put, pole vault, 400 meter dash, 800 meter dash, 200 meter dash, one mile run and the 4x400 meter relay.
Up next for Nevada will be the Husky Classic on Feb. 16 hosted by the University of Washington followed by the University of Washington Open Meet on Feb. 17.
