PROVO, Utah Another match, another narrow decision for the Nevada women’s tennis team.

Taking on No. 56 BYU on the Cougars’ home court, Nevada took its opponent to the wire, only to come up on the short end of a 4-3 match.

“We are very close to breaking through,” Nevada coach Sylvain Malroux said. “we are playing tough opponents and we are almost there.”

Nevada dropped the doubles point but rallied back with three wins in singles as Florence De Vrye (No. 3), Alice Hall (No. 4) and Laetitia Tan (No. 5) each won. But Maria Mizyuk (No. 2) and Lais Ogata (No. 5) each dropped three-decisions and Nevada couldn’t get the fourth point.

The Wolf Pack returns to action Saturday with a Western Athletic Conference match at Utah State.
