NEVADA ON RADIO:  Nevada baseball can be heard on ESPN Radio 630AM or on Fox Sports Radio 1450AM with pregame starting 15 minutes prior to first pitch.  Veteran Wolf Pack announcers Dan Gustin and Don Marchand will call most of the action again this season.  Tuesday’s game at Stanford can be heard live with Marchand calling the action on 1450AM.  The three-games of the Southwest Diamond Classic will no be carried on radio.

Pack Notes: Nevada opened a season at home for the first time in school history last weekend vs. UC Irvine...after starting both games vs. UCI last weekend David Ciarlo has started 73 consecutive games at second base...in his first start for the Wolf Pack LHP-Chris Garcia allowed just one hit in seven shutout innings of work...3B-Jason Rodriguez hit the the Pack’s only home run last weekend, a solo shot in the bottom of the fourth inning of game 2 which broke a scoreless tie...RHP-Rod Scurry is slated to make his 18th consecutive start since joining the team last season vs. Dallas Baptist on Thursday...Nevada will play two teams from Texas at the Southwest Diamond Classic this weekend in Dallas Baptist and UT Arlington, the last time the Pack played baseball versus a team from the Lone Star state was Rice in 2005 when the Owls were a member of the WAC...Friday Nevada squares off versus Alabama for the first time since the two squads met in the 2000 NCAA Regional at Stanford, the Crimson Tide won the first game 8-2 and eliminated the Pack with a 6-5 victory in the second meeting of the regional...after playing four games on the road this weekend, Nevada returns home to play 15 consecutive home games, the longest stretch of the season.
