Nevada at Montana State

Game Notes:
- With a 72-63 victory Saturday night at Montana State (0-1), Nevada (1-0) opened the season with a victory for the fifth time in the last six years and the 13th in the last 15 seasons. Fifth-year head coach Mark Fox is now 4-1 in season openers.
- Freshman Luke Babbitt led the Wolf Pack with 20 points and 12 rebounds, his first career double-double, in his collegiate debut. Babbitt led three Nevada players in double figures for scoring.
- Sophomore Armon Johnson added 16 points, while junior Ray Kraemer chipped a career-best 12 points.
- Kraemer and Johnson also pulled down seven rebounds apiece (career highs for both players), while sophomore Malik Cooke added eight of Nevada’s 50 rebounds.
- Nevada has now won 11 of its last 20 regular-season road games and 22 of its last 32. Since the start of the 2004-05 season, the Wolf Pack is now 39-16 on the road (.709).
- Babbitt, Kraemer and junior Richie Phillips made their first career starts in Saturday’s game, while Cooke made his second and senior Lyndale Burleson was in the starting lineup for the sixth time in his career.
- The Wolf Pack wraps up its two-game road trip to start on the season on Tuesday, Nov. 18, traveling to San Diego (0-1). That game will tip off at 7:05 p.m. Media covering the San Diego game includes KAME-TV 21 and ESPN Radio 630 AM. Nevada’s home opener is set for Saturday, Nov. 22 when Oregon State (0-1) comes to Lawlor Events Center.
