RENO, Nev.   Reno businessmen Jack and Rick Reviglio will receive the University of Nevada’s prestigious Jake Lawlor Award at the 39th annual Governor’s Dinner on Saturday, July 21 at the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City.

The Jake Lawlor Award, named after the former Wolf Pack coach, is given annually to an individual who has demonstrated substantial and exemplary support of Nevada’s intercollegiate athletics program over an extended period of time.

"Jack and Rick Reviglio’s personal involvement and support have been a critical component of the success of Wolf Pack Athletics,” Nevada Director of Athletics Cary Groth said. “Jack and Rick have shown a tremendous passion for the University of Nevada, and the athletics department would not be where it is today without the leadership and support Jack and Rick Reviglio have shown. They are very deserving recipients of the Jake Lawlor Award.”

Jack Reviglio has been a season ticket holder since 1969 and has donated to virtually every athletics development campaign over the years. He has employed hundreds of student-athletes at his company, Western Nevada Supply, and has worked closely with many coaches and the department’s leadership. A native of the Bay Area, he graduated from Serra High School and Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore., and went to work in the wholesale plumbing industry. He and the late Bill Higgins moved to northern Nevada and started Western Nevada Supply in 1964.

Rick Reviglio has been a member of the Athletic Association of the University of Nevada (AAUN) Board of Directors since 1996, serving as AAUN president in 2000-01 and currently as a member of the AAUN Executive Committee. He was born and raised in northern Nevada and has attended Wolf Pack sporting events as long as he can remember. He went to Bishop Manogue High School in Reno and graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, Calif., in 1998. After graduation, he went to work for a manufacturing company in the plumbing industry before returning to the family business in 1992.

Jack and Rick Reviglio also are active in their support of the University of Nevada as well as the communities in which they live and work. They join their brother and uncle, Tom, who received the prestigious Jake Lawlor Award in 1989.
