RENO, Nev. - Six Wolf Pack football players have signed free agent contracts with NFL teams, including tight end Travis Branzell, cornerback Joe Garcia, running back Robert Hubbard, defensive end J.J. Milan, tight end Anthony Pudewell and wide receiver Caleb Spencer.

The five players as well as quarterback Jeff Rowe, who was drafted in the fifth round by the Cincinnati Bengals, will get their chances to earn a spot on NFL rosters at training camps, which start later in May.

Branzell, a 6-4, 240-pound tight end from Spring Creek, Nev., signed with the New York Jets, while Garcia, a 6-0, 180-pound cornerback from Westminster, Calif., was picked up by the Detroit Lions. Milan, a 6-5, 270-pound local product out of Reno's Wooster High School, signed with the Oakland Raiders, and Hubbard, a 5-11, 195-pound tailback from Emeryville, Calif., went to the St. Louis Rams. Pudewell, a 6-4, 250-pound tight end from Eldorado Hills, Calif., was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Spencer, a receiver from Honolulu, signed with the Washington Redskins.
