LOS ANGELES, Calif. The Nevada women’s tennis team snapped a three-match skid with a 4-3 win at Loyola Marymount on Thursday at the LMU Tennis Center.

Nevada, ranked 57th in the country, improved to 7-7 on the season and LMU fell to 7-7.

The Wolf Pack won the doubles point after sweeping all three matches but the Lions evened the score at one with a victory in the first singles match as Nevada’s Fiorella Velez fell in straight sets.

But Nevada then reeled off three straight victories, getting wins from No. 2 Caroline Bailly, No. 4 Alice Hall and No. 6 Bach-Lan Pham to clinch the victory. All three of those victories came in straight sets.

Nevada will conclude its Southern California road trip on Sunday when it takes on UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.
