LONG BEACH, Calif. The Nevada women’s tennis team, ranked No. 57 in the country, fell at No. 50 Long Beach State on Wednesday, 5-2 at the 49er Tennis Courts.

 

Nevada fell to 6-7 on the season while Long Beach State improved to 9-6.

 

The Wolf Pack jumped out on top by earning the doubles point with two victories in the three matches. But the 49ers rallied in singles action, winning five of the six matches to close out the victory.

 

Nevada’s lone singles win came from freshman Alice Hall, who won at the No. 4 spot over Long Beach State’s Jessica Weeks 6-3, 2-6, 7-5.

 

The Pack received doubles victories from No. 48-ranked Caroline Bailly and Maria Mizyuk in the No. 1 spot and Bach-Lan Pham and Ly-Huong Dinh in the No. 3 position.

 

Nevada, which has lost three straight matches, is back in action on Thursday at Loyola Marymount.
