RENO, Nev. The Nevada women’s tennis team came in at No. 75 in the FILA Collegiate Tennis Rankings released on Tuesday. This marks the first time that the Wolf Pack has been ranked since Jan. 30, 2002, when the team was also ranked 75th.
“We are very pleased with the ranking but we have our sights set higher,” second-year coach Sylvain Malroux said.
The ranking comes on the heels of the Wolf Pack’s 4-3 win at then-No. 56 Washington State on Saturday. That victory was the Wolf Pack’s first over a Pac-10 school since the 1994-95 season and marked the highest-ranked team that Nevada has ever beaten.
Nevada is tied for the 75th spot along with Auburn, Indiana State and Syracuse. The rankings can be found at:

The Wolf Pack also boasts the 39th-ranked doubles team in the nation in sophomore Caroline Bailly and freshman Maria Mizyuk. The duo is 5-0 in dual play and 12-3 overall this season. Updated individual rankings are due out later this month.
Nevada has a chance to move higher in the rankings this weekend when it travels to Boise State for three duals. The Pack will take on No. 64 Boise State, No. 57 Wichita State and unranked Montana over the weekend.
