Nevada Game Notes: - With the 69-68 win over Hawai'i, Nevada improved to 21-2 overall and 9-1 in WAC play. The Wolf Pack won its fourth consecutive game and its 14th in 15 tries. - The win was also Nevada's ninth consecutive victory at Lawlor Events Center and its 21st in 22 home games. - Junior Marcelus Kemp led the team with 23 points, his 12th 20-point game of the year and the 19th of his career. Kemp scored 16 of his 23 points in the second half. He knocked down 7-of-12 attempts from the field and made 4-of-7 three-pointers in the game. Kemp now has 131 made three-pointers in his career, which puts him all alone in fifth all time at the University of Nevada. - Senior Nick Fazekas turned in 21 points and 10 rebounds, his 14th double-double this year and the 55th of his career. He made 6-of-12 attempts from the field and 9-of-9 from the free throw line. - Nevada made a season-best 95.2 percent of its attempts from the free throw line (20-21). - The Wolf Pack was also outrebounded for just the third time this year and the second time by Hawai'i. The Rainbow Warriors outrebounded the Wolf Pack 34-33 tonight and 42-33 in Honolulu on Jan. 13. - Nevada improved to 10-0 all time against Hawai'i in games played in Reno. - This year's two regular-season meetings between Nevada and Hawai'i were decided by a combined three points with Nevada turning in a 68-66 overtime win at Hawai'i on Jan. 13 and a 69-68 victory tonight in Reno. - Nevada returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 8, traveling to Fresno State. That game will tip off at 7:05 p.m. Pacific and will be televised locally by KAME-TV 21.
