Nevada Postgame Notes:

-         With the team’s 106-70 loss at No. 1/1 North Carolina, Nevada saw its five-game winning streak come to an end. The Wolf Pack fell to 7-5 on the season and is 2-4 on its opponents’ home courts this year.

-         Freshman Armon Johnson led the Wolf Pack with a career-high 23 points. He made 10-of-18 field goal attempts in the game.

-         Johnson led three players in double figures with senior Marcelus Kemp adding 19 and sophomore JaVale McGee chipping in with 14.

-         With his 19 points, Kemp moved into seventh place on the Nevada career scoring list with 1,509 career points. He moved past Darryl Owens who had 1,504 points in his career from 1986-89 and needs just three points to tie Ric Herrin for sixth (1,512 points from 1989-93).

-         It marked Kemp’s 22nd game in double figures for scoring and the 53rd time in the last 55 games.

-         The WAC’s leading rebounder, McGee also led the team with seven rebounds, the fifth consecutive game he has led the team in the category and the ninth time this year.

-         McGee added a game-high four blocked shots and now has a league-leading 42 on the year. He has had at least one block in all 12 games this season and 10 with two or more.

-         Nevada gave up a season-high 106 points and saw its opponent reach triple digits for the first time since Fresno State turned in a 107-99 victory in double overtime over the team on March 1, 2003. The Wolf Pack also allowed the Tar Heels to shoot 53.5 percent in the game, a season high for a Nevada opponent this year.

-         Tonight’s game wrapped up Nevada’s two-game road trip, and the team returns home to end the non-conference slate with a game against Cal State Stanislaus on Monday, Dec. 31. Monday’s game will tip off at 3:05 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
