The University of Nevada rifle team swept the University of Texas at El Paso 4629-4559 on Saturday and 4599-4537 on Sunday.

On Saturday junior Andrew Hickey shot a 590 to take first place in the air rifle while freshman Jessica Klatt finished behind Hickey with a 589. UTEP senior Anna Crabtree shot a career high 587 to finish third behind Hickey and Klatt. Senior Meghann Morrill shot a 585 and finished fourth place and senior Lee Lemenager finished behind Morrill with a 583.

Crabtree took first place in the small bore, shooting a 579. Hickey shot a 575 to finish behind Crabtree. Klatt and junior Sarah Smith finished third behind Crabtree with a 570.

Sophomore Heather Horn shot independently with a 556 in small bore and 569 in air rifle.

On Sunday, Morrill’s 585 gave her a first place finish in air rifle, out shooting Crabtree, Lemenager and Klatt by five. Hickey finished third with a 576.

Lemenager took a three-way tie for first place in small bore with Crabtree and freshman Josie Burzynski with a shot of 572. Smith and Klatt took a tie for second place with a 571 and Hickey took a fourth place finish with a 564. Hickey finished behind UTEP freshman Amber Criss with a shot of 565.

Horn also shot independently with a 564 in small bore and 565 in air rifle.

This was the fourth and fifth meeting the Wolf Pack has met the Aggies this season. They will meet two more times this weekend in Colorado Springs, Colo. when Wolf Pack will also meet Air Force.
