Before they hit the road for four months, the University of Nevada rifle team will close their home schedule for the fall season Saturday against Texas Christian University. The match is expected to start at 8 a.m.
After sweeping UTEP last weekend in their home opener, the Wolf Pack are looking to extend their unbeaten streak at home to 15.
Coach Fred Harvey expects his team to shoot a season's best score to date. All members are expected to shoot this weekend. Senior Meghann Morrill leads the Wolf Pack in the air rifle, shooting a 590 twice against UTEP on different matches.
Sophomore Heather Horn leads the Wolf Pack individually in the small bore. She shot a 580 against UTEP on Sept. 30.
Senior Lee Lemenager and junior Andrew Hickey made a comeback return with the air rifle against UTEP last weekend. Lemenager finished with a 57 and Hickey finished 577 on Oct. 13 and on Oct. 14 Lemenager shot a 582 and Hickey shot a 585.
Lemenager's 582 set his season high record and Hickey's 585 tied his other season high record against UTEP on Sept. 30.
Freshman Jessica Klatt shot a 587 in the air rifle on Oct. 14 to set her season high record and with the help of her 565 on the small bore, she set a season record of a 1152 total aggregate.
