“In the first half we weren’t reacting, we were lethargic.  In the second half we were much better.”

“Our defense was the key, it led to transition baskets.  We got several stops which allowed us to build a lead.”

Fox on Sessions:

“(Marcelus) Kemp and (Nick) Fazekas are drawing attention which lets things open up for Denis (Ikovlev), Tyrone (Hanson) and Ramon (Sessions).”

Louisiana Tech coach Keith Richard

On Nevada’s offense

“They’ve got too much offense for us.  We couldn’t keep up.  It looked like we were in mud and they were just flying by us.”

On Nevada’s second half run

“We can’t have a five minute stretch where they score every time and we don’t score any.”

On Trey McDowell

“Trey was struggling in the second half.  Fatigue played a part but they did a good job on him.”

On Nevada’s offensive attack

“We tried to figure out how to defend them.  But with the emergence of Kemp, Shiloh, and their bench, their offense is extremely good.”

On Louisiana Tech’s improvements.

“The good news is that a month ago we couldn’t play a first half like we did but you can see how far we have to go.”
