Nevada Game Notes: - No. 15/13 Nevada (17-2, 5-1 WAC) had its 10-game overall winning streak snapped with the 80-73 loss at New Mexico State on Saturday night in Las Cruces, N.M. It also marked the team's first WAC loss of the year after the Wolf Pack opened conference play with five wins for the first time since joining the league in 2000-01. - The team also saw its 11-game road winning streak, 15-game WAC regular-season winning streak and 18-game streak against WAC opponents (including three WAC Tournament games) all come to an end. Saturday marked the team's first road loss since a 87-77 loss at Fresno State on Jan. 18, 2006 and its first loss vs. a WAC opponent since a 59-53 loss to Utah State on Jan. 23, 2006. - Junior Ramon Sessions led the Wolf Pack with 23 points, tying his career high set previous at Boise State on Feb. 10, 2005. It was also his fourth 20-point game of the year and the fifth of his career. - Senior Nick Fazekas finished with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and had seven rebounds. - Senior Marcelus Kemp led the team with eight boards, tying his season best. - New Mexico State outrebounded Nevada 45-32, which marked just the second time this year that Nevada had been outrebounded. - The Wolf Pack returns home next week, playing host to Louisiana Tech on Thursday, Jan. 25 and Utah State on Saturday, Jan. 27 at Lawlor Events Center.
