Nevada Game Notes: - With the 72-63 victory at San Jose State, Nevada improved to 15-1 on the season and 3-0 in the WAC. That 15-1 record is the best start in school history, passing the 14-2 start of the 1951-52 squad. - The victory also gave Nevada its eighth consecutive win, its 10th straight road win and its 13th straight regular-season WAC contest. - Junior Marcelus Kemp led the team with 33 points, just one point shy of his career high of 34 set vs. Montana in the 2006 NCAA Tournament. That marks the third consecutive game that Kemp has led the team in scoring and the fifth straight contest that he has scored 20 or more points. - Kemp made 5-of-7 three-pointers in the game, tying his career mark for three-pointers. He also moved into 10th on the Nevada career scoring list with 116 three-pointers made. - Senior Nick Fazekas did not play in the game due to an ankle sprain, missing the first game in his Nevada career. Prior to tonight, the two-time WAC Player of the Year had played in all 114 games with 102 starts (86 consecutive starts). - Nevada made a season-high 12 three-pointers in the victory, going 12-of-19 from beyond the arc (63.2 percent). - The Wolf Pack returns to action Saturday night, traveling to Hawai'i. Saturday's game at Hawai'i's Stan Sheriff Center will tip off at 7 p.m. Hawaii Time (9 p.m. Pacific Time) and will be televised locally in Reno by KAME-TV (21).
