Nearly 300 rifle and pistol shooters from across the nation will compete in 14 events during the week-long USA Shooting National Championships conducted by USA Shooting, the national governing body for the Olympic shooting sports. The top finishers from this competition will be named to the national and national Development Team that represents the U.S. in national and international shooting competitions throughout the year. The 2006 National Championships are also the final part of the junior rifle and pistol team selections for the World Championships held in Zagreb, Croatia, in late July.
