RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada's Silver rifle team shot a 2326 to defeat Air Force by one point on Saturday. The Pack finished the dual season with a 6-2 mark and will compete at the NCAA Championships in air rifle March 10-11 in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the Olympic Training Center.

Nevada's Michael Tanoue took high honors shooting a 589 individually, though his score was in exhibition. Teammates Corrie Holmes and Sarah Smith shot 587 and 586 in air rifle, respectively, to lead the Pack to victory. Both scores were personal bests for Holmes and Smith.

There was no team competition for small bore.

Additionally, the school was informed Monday that Meghann Morrill will compete as an individual in small bore at the NCAA Championships. Small bore team and individual competition is Friday and team and individual competition in air takes place Saturday.
