Essence Booker has been phenomenal for the Wolf Pack through the team’s first three games, helping to lead Nevada to its first 3-0 start since the 2010-11 season. Things were no different on Saturday as she aided in a 60-57 road win at Utah Valley and led the team in scoring for the third consecutive game. The Las Vegas native chipped in a game-high 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting, which included two made 3-point attempts. She was also 4-of-4 from the free throw line, including two clutch free throws with 17 seconds on the clock that gave Nevada a three-point cushion. The rest of her game was strong as well as she added five rebounds and four assists to her day.

Through three games Booker leads the team and ranks tied for third in the conference in scoring, averaging 18.0 points per game. She is shooting 52.9 percent from the field, which is fourth-best in the league and second among guards. She is the only player in the Mountain West, and one of 23 nationally, to not miss a free throw this season, hitting all 13 of her attempts.
