Toma Shmitova, a senior member of the women's dive team, was named the Wolf Pack Athlete of the Week following her performance in the UNLV dual meet.

The St. Petersburg, Russia native collected two event wins in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives. Shmitova scored a 313.43 in the 1-meter and now holds the top three scores in the Mountain West behind her leading score at UC Davis. The 312.75 score in the 3-meter dive gives her four of the top 10 scores in the conference. With the two event wins, the senior combined for 18 individual points and was the top scorer for the dive portion of the meet. Those 18 points helped the Pack take down UNLV, 192-106. 

Next up for Nevada is a dual meet against New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Feb. 2 to prepare for the Mountain West Championships in Minneapolis, Minn., Feb. 20-23.
