RENO, Nev. – After helping lead Nevada to its fourth-straight victory on Saturday, Lucas Weber has been named the Wolf Pack Student-Athlete for the week. Nevada will travel to play its regular-season finale at UNLV this Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Weber led the Pack to victory over the Spartans with seven tackles, five of them solo, and set career-highs with three tackles for loss and two sacks. His three TFLs totaled 30 yards.
Both of Weber’s sacks went for 10 yards and each resulted in Spartan punts on separate drives. The Pack held SJSU to 200 total yards of offense, who came in averaging 331.7.
With a 7-4 record, Nevada is bowl eligible for the first time since 2015. A victory over the Rebels would give Nevada its most wins since earning 13 victories in 2010. The Pack’s four-game win streak is its longest since 2012, when it won five in a row.
