After another impressive week and helping to lead Nevada to its first Mountain West win of the season, senior Teige Zeller has been named the Bradley, Drendel & Jeanney Athlete of the Week.
Â
Zeller notched two double-doubles between the Wolf Pack’s two games last week, pouring in 20 points and adding 12 rebounds in the win over Fresno State and 12 points and 11 rebounds in a near road win at New Mexico. For the week she averaged 16.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. She has recorded four double-doubles in her last five games.
Â
She helped Nevada to its fifth win in a row and first conference victory last Thursday after the Pack took down Fresno State, 90-73, and snapped a nine-game losing skid to the Bulldogs. Additionally she was lights out from the floor, connecting on 13-of-21 of her shot attempts, good for nearly 62 percent shooting. Zeller was also perfect from the free throw line for the week, hitting 6-of-6.
