Nevada quarterback Carson Strong named Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week 

Carson Strong threw four touchdowns to lead the Wolf Pack to a 52-10 win over Colorado State on the road and surpassed the program's single-season TD record and finish the 2021 season with 36 passing touchdowns.

Today, the Mountain West Conference announced Strong has been named Offensive Player of the Year.

It marks the second consecutive season that Carson Strong has earned Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year. He becomes the fifth player in conference history to earn the honor in back-to-back campaigns. Strong was also named All-Mountain West First Team for the second straight season.

Strong leads the nation's fourth-best passing attack which helped pace the conference in points per game (36.7), passing yards (365.8), and touchdown passes (37).

Strong guided the Wolf Pack to an 8-4 overall regular-season record and its fourth straight bowl appearance after setting a single-season program record with 36 touchdown passes. He finished the regular season with the most passing yards in the conference (4,715), which is also second all-time in a single season at Nevada. Strong is first in the conference and 8^th in the nation with a 70.0 (212 of 303) completion percentage.

The junior from Vacaville, Calif., earns his second Wolf Pack Student-Athlete honor of the fall semester.
