RENO, Nev. – Junior Rylee Peterson has been named the Nevada Student-Athlete of the Week after helping to lead the Wolf Pack to their first victory of the season on Sunday. The veteran forward currently leads the team with two assists on the year.

From Edmonds, Wash., Peterson is playing her third season with the Wolf Pack. In Nevada’s season opener against Fordham, Peterson led both teams with two shots on goal and three total on the day.

Against Sacramento State on Sunday, she helped orchestrate a 3-2 comeback victory after the Pack went down by two goals early in the first half. Peterson assisted on Mackenzie Robinson’s game tying goal seventy minutes into the match, and fed freshman Rachel Gensch for the game-winner in double overtime.

Peterson ended her weekend with a team-high seven shots and three on goal. She played 106 minutes for Nevada during their first two matches as well.
