Jamye King Day
Sunday's contest will be Jayme King Day to honor its former player who lost her battle with cancer in 2015. King was a local product from Fernley, Nevada and competed for the Wolf Pack softball team for one season in 2011, where she started in 36 games. That summer, she was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a rare bone cancer, and underwent multiple rounds of chemotherapy over the next few years before losing her fight in 2015. She was 24. |
