There are many avenues to support the student-athletes of Nevada Athletics. First and foremost, the Pack Excellence Fund is the annual giving arm of the development department. Giving to the PEF helps support all aspects of life as a Wolf Pack student-athlete. Our student-athletes are working hard day in and day out as they strive to become leaders, win championships, and earn degrees. In turn, it is our mission is to help provide the resources necessary to enrich their lives as student-athletes in the classroom and at the highest level of athletic competition. The University of Nevada has 501(c)(3) non-profit tax exempt status. Your gift may provide you with federal and state income tax benefits: If you itemize deductions on your federal income tax return, you may be able to deduct your contribution to the Wolf Pack from your adjusted gross income. In addition, gifts of appreciated property you owned for longer than one year may avoid long term capital gains tax. Check with your tax advisor for deduction and capital gains tax requirements and limitations for your situation. Your state may also allow a credit or deduction. Again, check with your tax advisor regarding applicable state law.

A seat-related premium is an additional cost associated with the purchase of priority/premium seating or access to VIP Areas for football and priority seating for men’s basketball. As of January 1, 2018, donations tied to premium seat locations and VIP areas will no longer be 80% tax deductible. If you have any further questions please reach out to your tax professional.

The PEF uses a Priority Point system to allocate football and men’s basketball season tickets. For more information on Priority Points click here.

Priority points can be earned through every $100 contributed to the PEF, sport specific funds and the purchase of season tickets.
