April was a great month for the Wolf Pack. We hired a new basketball staff, upset a few ranked teams on the diamond, had a phenomenal spring football season and even did a little rebranding. Welcome to the April 2019 Social Media Report. Here's a look at some of our best moments of the month as told through social media.
APRIL 1
As a little April Fool's joke, we underwent a quick rebranding hearkening back to the oldest of our mascots, the Sagebrushers. While fans understood it was a joke, they loved the logo.
APRIL 2
Wrapping up an incredible college career, Caleb Martin earned honorable mention All-American honors. Martin helped lead the Wolf Pack to a third straight Mountain West title and NCAA Tournament berth.

APRIL 3
The Nevada baseball skipper recorded win No. 100, hitting a massive milestone in his career. He earned congratulations from a ton of Wolf Pack fans and many Wolf Pack alumni.

APRIL 10
Coach Norvell just felt like running, and he encouraged the rest of Reno to do the same. This video encouraging fans to sign up for the Grit Run 5K garnished 22,000 views.

APRIL 11
We welcomed coach Steve Alford to the Wolf Pack family as our next head men's basketball coach. In total between all three social channels and every post, we racked up more than 600,000 impressions and more than a million third-party impressions. While the impressions were impressive, these posts also racked up near-record likes, replies and retweets.

APRIL 17
Nevada women's golf recorded its highest ever Mountain West Championships finish and beat UNLV to gain three Silver State Series points. They fell just one stroke short of a win, nearly overcoming a one-day, 10-stroke deficit.
APRIL 18
Nevada softball walked it off against No. 25 and first place Colorado State in game one of their series, providing for a ton of energy at Hixson. From the time softball beat Colorado State to when Keaton Smith hit for the cycle, including the Oregon State baseball series, softball and baseball combined for more than 300,000 impressions across all three major channels.

Jalen Harris became the third Wolf Pack men's basketball player to reaffirm his commitment to Nevada. By tagging Jordan Brown, he set off the viral, player and fan driven, campaign that became #OperationPackBack.

Nevada baseball walked it off in extra innings BOTH games against the defending National Champions to sweep the No. 2 team in the country. From the time softball beat Colorado State to when Keaton Smith hit for the cycle, including the Oregon State baseball series, softball and baseball combined for more than 300,000 impressions across all three major channels.

Nevada football wrapped up its spring season with the annual Silver & Blue Spring Game, joined with the first ever Grit Run 5K. The day proved what we've seen all social all month: a lot of excitement and positive sentiment toward the 2019 football season. Posts directly promoting season tickets have been receiving 100s of link clicks each time.

APRIL 28
Keaton Smith, the same week he hit a walk off shot against No. 2 Oregon State, hit for the cycle at Air Force as part of a 26-run effort. He was named the Mountain West Player of the Week and the NCBWA National Player of the Week.
