The Pack Excellence Fund (PEF) is the organization which provides the financial resources necessary for our 400+ student-athletes to succeed at the highest levels of competition. Wolf Pack Athletics is nearly 80% self-supported and each year it takes several million dollars to provide our student-athletes educational and athletic experience. Through the generous support of our Wolf Pack community, we are able to equip our student-athletes with the tools to succeed on the field, in the classroom, and in their future careers.
What are the ways that I can make a gift to the PEF in support of Wolf Pack Athletics?
There are many ways donors support Nevada Athletes and Wolf Pack student-athletes.
- Annual Giving: Annual giving is the core of the Pack Educational Fund. By donating consistently on an annual basis to any fund within the PEF, you provide a reliable source of funding for Nevada Athletics and Wolf Pack student-athletes.
- Sport Specific Giving: Donors can make a contribution directly to any one of our 16 sports. Each of our coaches depend on these gifts to support their annual operating expenses, such as travel and gear.
- Capital Projects: Donating to fund capital projects, such as the new Donald L. Jensen Plaza or the Peccole Park Baseball Renovation, helps to ensure that Wolf Pack student-athletes have access to the best facilities possible. These facilities support our student-athletes not only in their athletics pursuits, but as they excel academically as well.
- Endowments: Establishing an endowment contributes to the scholarship and operational funding for Nevada student-athletes. These endowments are invested by the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation and generate an annual return which helps fund scholarships & programs. PEF members can start an endowment to support Athletics scholarships by donating a minimum of $10,000 over five years or they can support a current endowment by donating to that endowment fund.
- Planned Giving: It’s never too early for a donor to start thinking about the legacy he or she wants to leave at the University of Nevada. A planned gift can enable donors to make the greatest impact and ensure success for future Nevada student-athletes.
