Football 101 FAQs

Who should attend?
Any woman who has an interest in football, in the Nevada Wolf Pack, in supporting worthy causes and in having a great time with her girlfriends! Whether you know everything or next-to-nothing about football, attendees will enjoy a great ladies night out with their friends, will learn some fun football facts and will have a great time on the field.

What should I wear?
Don't worry about buying a new pair of heels for this event! If you want to have fun on the field after dinner, sneakers would be the best choice for footwear! Casual and comfortable is the theme for the evening, but you and your friends may want to coordinate by wearing your best Wolf Pack gear or your own "team" clothing for your table.

What do I need to bring with me?
You won't need much to have a great evening. But, you may want to consider bringing a couple of things including a designated driver, some pin money for raffle tickets and silent auction and all of your most fun girlfriends!

How much football will I learn?
The answer to this question is up to you! If you're hoping to expand your basic knowledge of college football and perhaps learn more about Wolf Pack Football, in particular, then this is the event for you. Following dinner, Coach Polian and his staff will present on several topics to help inform your overview of college football. (Don't forget, this is Football 101!) However, if you're hoping to go deeper and learn more of the Xs and Os of football, you'll want to sign up for the Chalk Talk, which precedes the cocktail hour and evening's festivities.

I've heard there are drills on the field, what if I'm not an athlete?
Every opportunity presented at the event is voluntary. Therefore, if you are concerned that you might hurt yourself or aggravate an old injury you are not required to participate in drills on the field. However, don't let fear of embarrassing yourself stop you from giving it the old college try. No previous experience or skills are required to have fun on the field. Medical personnel from the team will be on the field in case of an emergency but your participation is voluntary and the University assumes no liability! (Make sure you complete the Attendee Release Form.)

What will happen during the event?
The evening will begin with a hosted cocktail hour during which you can check out awesome raffle and auction items. Dinner will be served around 6 p.m. Following dinner there will be a presentation by the Wolf Pack coaching staff after which attendees will be led to different areas of the field to experience some fun, physical drills just like the players do!

Where can I park?
Free parking will be available in the West Stadium Parking Complex after 3:30 p.m.

How can I, or my business, get involved in the event?
Sponsorship opportunities are available at a variety of levels. To find out more about the benefits of being a sponsor of the event, please contact Tara Hawkins at (775) 682-6973
