Wolf Pack basketball set for postseason play

MW Championships are this week; postseason ticket policies announced.

RENO, Nev. – Nevada's men's and women's basketball teams are set for this week's Mountain West Championships at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, with the women's team opening play Monday as the No. 7 seed and the men's team beginning play on Thursday as the top seed in the tournament.

Additionally, the Nevada athletics department has finalized postseason ticket protocols for the Wolf Pack in the NCAA Tournament. Wolf Pack fans can place orders for seats in the Nevada section in advance for each of the potential NCAA Tournament locations for the first/seconds rounds of the tournament, March 15-18. To place an order for NCAA Tournament tickets, please CLICK HERE. More details on the process are below.

At the Mountain West Championships this week, play begins Monday with the opening rounds on the women's side. Nevada, the No. 7 seed, will take on No. 10-seed San Diego State at 4:30 p.m. The winner will play No. 2 seed UNLV on Tuesday. The Wolf Pack finished the regular season with double-digit wins over UNLV and San Diego State at Lawlor Events Center.

All of the women's games in the tournament can be watched online on the Mountain West Network, available via NevadaWolfPack.com. Audio broadcasts, with John Ramey on the call, will be on in Northern Nevada on NBC Sports Radio 94.1 FM and 1450 AM, and around the world at NevadaWolfPack.com/audio.

The Nevada men, the back-to-back regular season Mountain West champions, open play Thursday at noon against the winner of No. 8 UNLV and No. 9 Air Force. The Wolf Pack is vying for it's second MW Championships title in a row, after capturing the crown last year as well. The MW men's semifinals are Friday with the championship on Saturday.

Ramey will have the men's tournament games live on ESPN Radio 94.5 FM in Northern Nevada and the games will also be available at NevadaWolfPack.com/audio. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be broadcast on national television on CBS Sports Network with the title game on Saturday slated for network broadcast on CBS.

Tickets for the Mountain West Championships are available at TheMW.com.

Fans who are planning travel to follow the Wolf Pack in the NCAA Tournament can sign up for tickets at each of the potential tournament sites where Nevada may play. Please add each tournament site separately.

Placing an order does not guarantee tickets for that site. All ticket orders will be prioritized via the Wolf Pack's priority points system. If your order qualifies for purchase, your credit card will be charged automatically and your tickets will be available for pickup at the tournament site (details on pickup opportunities at each tournament site, likely at the team hotel, will be announced).

If Nevada wins its opening game in the NCAA Tournament, your ticket order will be processed automatically for the second game at that tournament site. This process will be repeated as the Wolf Pack advances to future rounds of the tournament. Ticket prices range for $66 to $100 per session.

All sales are final and refunds will not be issued. For more information, call (775) 348-PACK.

Please note that Nevada does not control the size of the ticket allotment from the NCAA and these quantities are generally limited to 450 for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament, with nearly half of that allotment set aside for players' families, coaches, University president, athletics director's office, ICA administration and support staff.  The athletics department encourages fans to explore all other reputable sources for tickets to the NCAA Tournament.
