RENO, Nev. – Head Nevada soccer coach
Erin Otagaki has signed 13 newcomers to play for the Wolf Pack in 2018. In her second season at the helm, Otagaki has added 12 freshman and one transfer to her team and expects them to make big contributions for the Pack in 2018.
"We're excited about this class," said Otagaki. "We've known them now for a year throughout the recruiting process and we like each one of them both as people and as soccer players. We are really excited about the different skill sets that they each bring to the table and when we combine them with what's currently here I think you're looking at a tremendous fall season."
Annika Bergstrand – 5'7 – Forward - Sacramento, Calif. (Franklin High School)
After lettering all four years in soccer at Franklin High School, Bergstrand will look to add an offensive punch to the Wolf Pack's game in 2018. Her team won the NorCal NPL Championship in 2015-18 and was named her high school team's captain in 2017-18. At the Blues Cup Championship, Bergstrand scored the game-winning goal in the final minute of overtime to defeat Blues FC 3-2, a team that had not lost in over a year.
Olivia Carter – 5'5 –Forward – South Kent, Wash. (Kent Meridian High School)
Scoring 39 goals and 14 assists after lettering for four years and being named her team's captain all four years in soccer at Kent Meridian High School. Carter will look to add another spark to Nevada's offense next season at the forward position.
Casey Crawford – 5'2 – Midfield/Forward – Park City, Utah. (Park City High School)
Named the captain of her high school soccer team at Park City High School her senior year, Crawford will bring her high-motor play to the Wolf Pack in 2018 patrolling the midfield. Crawford was named first team all-state in 2016 and second team-all state in 2017, and competed for the Olympic Development Program in Spain in 2017. In her high school career, Crawford scored 33 goals and recorded 13 assists in 27 games.
Mariah Jackson – 5'7 – Midfield/Forward – Danville, Calif. (Dougherty Valley High School)
After being the top scorer all four years at Dougherty Valley High School, Jackson will bring that offensive fire power to the Wolf Pack in 2018. She was named an all-league honorable mention in 2017 and also played for San Ramon FC.
Payton Lieb – 5'4 – Forward – Tulsa, Okla. (Union High School)
Originally from Nevada, Lieb returns to her home state to play with the Wolf Pack in 2018. At Union High School, she lettered in soccer from 2015-17 as well as help her team become the district champions each of those three years. Lieb was named All-Metro as well as All-Conference in 2017.
Kylie Minamishin – 5'5 – Midfield/Forward – Mililani, Hawai'i (Kamehameha Schools Kapalama)
Having lettered in soccer all four years at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama, Otagaki is excited about Minamishin's ability to hold down the midfield for Nevada. Another recruit from Hawai'i, she was named to the all-state team her first three years of high school and scored four goals in her senior season. Minamishin was also a part of the US U16 Girls National Team.
Sara Olanda – 5'3 – Midfield – Aiea, Hawai'i (Highline College)
Transferring from Highline College, Olanda will look to make an immediate impact for Nevada after two years of collegiate experience. After scoring 17 goals at Aiea High School, she helped her team win the Northwest Athletic Conference Championship in 2017 at Highline College and was named an NWAC 2017 all-star midfielder. Olanda also helped contribute to an 11 game shutout streak that lasted over 1,100 minutes.
Grace Radeski – 5'5 – Midfield – Santa Rosa, Calif. (Montgomery High School)
Playing in the CIF North Coast Section, Radeski helped lead her team to a conference title in 2016-17. The Santa Rosa native showcased her athleticism in high school, lettering in soccer for three years, two years in basketball and track and one year in football.
Kendall Riley – 5'10 – Defense – Mercer Island, Wash. (Mercer Island High School)
After lettering all four years in soccer at Mercer Island High School, Riley will bring her defensive skill as a part of the Wolf Pack in 2018. As a defensive midfielder in 2017, she scored 11 goals, 10 assists and led her team to a state championship in soccer.
Bella Serrano – 5'3 – Center Back – Gresham, Ore. (Gresham High School)
A letter winner all four years at Gresham High School, was named first-team defense in 2015-16, first-team defender in 2017-18 and co-defender of the year in 2017-18 in the Mt. Hood Conference. Serrano also played on the Futbol Club Salmon Creek Nemesis.
Daysha Solidum – 5'4 – Midfield/Forward – Honolulu, Hawai'i (Kalani High School)
A first team all-star in 2015-16 in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association, Solidum will bring an ability to play with both her right and left foot for the Wolf Pack in 2018. Solidum helped lead her team to victory at both the Hawai'i State Cup Championship and the Surf Cup Championship in 2016, where she scoring the game-winning goal with 40 seconds left. She will be a great addition for Nevada on and off the field, after being involved in National Honor Society in 2016-17 and being on the honor roll in high school from 2014-17.
Kendal Stovall – 5'7 – Goalkeeper – Mililani, Hawai'i (Kamehameha Kapalama schools)
After lettering all four years in soccer, Stovall will come to Nevada to play goalkeeper for the Wolf Pack. In high school, Stovall was an integral part of winning the Surf Cup Championship, the Presidents Day Cup Championship and the Oahu League Championship.
Kathryn Yarbrough – 5'7 – Outside/Center Back – Loomis, Calif. (Del Oro High School)
Coming to Nevada to play outside and center back after playing forward in high school, Yarbrough will bring speed and the ability to possess the ball for Nevada in 2018. Playing all over the country, Yarbrough was the all-district top scorer of the year in 2015 at Hebron High School in Carrollton, Texas and first team All-League Sierra Foothill in 2016-17 while playing at Del Oro High School.
